Monday March 12, 2018 - Layover in Hatchet Bay
Sometime in the late afternoon or evening the day before, a
new boat had come into the anchorage, not too far from True Blue. It didn't take long for Robert to spot the
Dutch flag flying off the stern. We
dinghied over on the way into town and spent 30 minutes talking to the
couple. I'm often so thankful that
people are able and willing to speak English because Robert and our two new
friends all three speak Dutch fluently.
Robert and I went into town and, today, DaSpot was open for
business. We had a great lunch, at a
very reasonable price.
We got back to the boat (after getting another 6 or 7
gallons of water for the boat). A front
was coming through and the wind had already shifted to the NW. So I wanted to move to the NW corner of the
Bay. We found a perfect anchorage
(protected, good holding, good depth) and had a nice evening at anchor.
